Description
- An acronym that stands for “continuous open bidding.” Even though formal sorority recruitment only happens during the winter, chapters that have not met a set quota of members can recruit new sorority members informally. This process involves smaller events and one-on-one “coffee dates” to get to know members.
 - A person who has joined through the informal recruitment process described above.

Example sentences
- We have COB ice cream event at the house this weekend.
 - I joined in the spring, so I’m a COB.
