Why It's Wild
Shanley is a black box theater located behind Lunt Hall, which was built in the 1940s as an Navy barracks and later converted to a mess hall. Afterward, it was used for many years as a Facilities Management storage shed.[3] In the 1970s, it was made into a coffeehouse called Amazingrace and run by a co-op on campus [4]. After the co-op disbanded, it became the student theatre venue it is today. It is currently the most commonly used StuCo performance venue, with a small stock of theatre equipment that belongs to the building.[5]
