This word is predominantly used among Christian groups, although a member outside of the Christian community will be able to use "Double A" in reference to this organization without seeming odd. Within Christian groups, about two-thirds have heard this word, but data seems to indicate it is best known by people in Double A or other chapters of InterVarsity.

Description

Double A is the slang form of Asian American InterVarsity (AAIV) on Northwestern's campus. They are a flourishing chapter of the umbrella Christian organization, InterVarsity. Double A is a student-led organization that includes Focus (a large group meeting with the entire fellowship), Groups Investigating God (for people questioning what Christianity is), Discipleship (See Dship), and incorporate worship, evangelism, and prayer into the core tenets of their purpose as an organization.
