Description

Norris is the student center on Northwestern's Evanston campus. Adjacent to the Lakefill, Norris is intended to be a central location for Evanston students to meet with each other. Norris has a small food court, the campus bookstore, and an auditorium, and also houses many administrative and student organization offices. There are many other places within Norris, including ARTica studios and the Dittmar Memorial Gallery. It is a common meeting place for students in group projects or student organizations, and is a common location for students to eat or study. Norris is also host to several plays, events, and speakers available to students.

Usage

  1. Norris is the most commonly used form within the Northwestern community, and is used by almost all of the Evanston campus community.
  2. Norris University Center, the official name for the building, is rarely used outside of official Northwestern University writing, though it would be recognized by almost all of the Evanston campus community.
