Description

MMS-cest occurs when two MMSS classmates hook up. MMSS students typically take a total of twelve classes together over two years that are restricted to the students in the program, and so develop close relationships with the 25 or so students in their cohort. When two classmates hook up, it is called MMS-cest because of the awkward repercussions of having to remain in close contact with the hookup partner. This term mainly refers to a hookup between two students in the same class sequence, but can also be extended to any two members of MMSS regardless of whether they are in classes together.

Usage

This term is used primarily by students in the academic program Mathematical Methods of the Social Sciences (MMSS) and can be both spoken or written. It is used only in informal contexts.

Example Sentence

Our year had so much MMS-cest, it seems like half the class was hooking up at one point!
