Courses for which GSW is offered:

  • Biology 215, 216, 217, 218
  • Chemistry 101, 102, 103
  • Chemistry 210-1, 210-2, 210-3
  • Physics 130-1, 130-2, 130-3

  • Engineering Analysis 1, 2, 3, 4
  • Math 212, 213, 214, 220, 224, 230

Structure of GSW

Students in GSW meet once a week for a maximum of two hours in groups from 2-8, where a peer mentor who has previously done well in the course provides worksheet problems (compiled by professors) for students to practice with. Students have the opportunity to ask questions about course material.

Registration

Students register for GSW workshops at the beginning of the quarter, through CAESAR. Although GSW does not give course credit, there is a notation on the students’ transcript.
