Description
Located in the lobby of 1877 Campus Drive, the Cage is the location where Northwestern students enrolled in RTVF production classes go to check out NU Equipment. The term "cage" is a vestige of a time when equipment was secured in wire cages. Details about how to check out cage equipment can be found in the RTVF Production Handbook [1]. Workers at the Cage are referred to as "Gurus".

This term is used by almost all RTVF students and a large number of RTVF faculty and staff.
