Description

Abbreviation for "general auditions."

Why It's Wild

Generals are quarterly auditions held for StuCo and Wirtz Center productions. Students sign up for audition slot(s) on the StuCo or Wirtz callboards, fill out an audition form, and attend the auditions in various buildings on campus. Students usually prepare two minutes of material for each audition, but the specific requirements for each production may be different. However, people are not allowed to audition in the quarters that they have Dash Three. [1] The theatre speech community uses generals, both written and spoken in informal social contexts on campus.
