Description
Color is one of the COVID-19 tests used by Northwestern University.
History
On December 9th, 2020, Northwestern University announced that it partnered with a new COVID-19 testing program, Color. The University had been using Tempus prior but made the change to Color in preparation for Winter Quarter 2021. Until May 12, 2021, students were required to take two COVID tests per week: one Color and one NAVICA. After that date, the university updated its COVID testing policies and students no longer needed to take a weekly Color test.
Things Required to Take the Test
- Login to Color account and activate kit.
- NetID and Photo ID.
- Completed Symptom Tracker.
Steps for taking the test
- Sanitize Hands
- Open testing tube and place to the side
- Open swab from end with arrows
- Lower mask below nose but make sure mouth is still covered
- Swab inside of nose 1 inch deep 3 times on both sides
- Place swab in testing tube and return to testing drop off location
Usage
- I'm going to Jacob's Center to get a Color test today.
- Which COVID test did you get? Oh, I got Color.
