History
Designed by William Augustus Otis and largely funded by Orrington Lunt, Lunt Hall was built in 1984 and served as Northwestern’s library until 1933, when Deering Library was built. From then until 1942, it served as the university’s administration building, and housed the Naval Training School for radio operators during World War II. It is the third oldest building on campus [2].
